# How much does Pubrio cost? Credits per call for B2B data

Every Pubrio operation is priced in credits. On pay per call a credit costs $0.01: a lookup is 1 credit, an enrichment 3 and a market expansion call 5. Send the request, such as `POST https://agents.pubrio.com/zcj/677u573lx7kn/companies/lookup`, and the storefront answers with a 402, the price quote, which you pay and retry with no signup or API key.

Calls draw the balance down, and `POST https://agents.pubrio.com/zcj/677u573lx7kn/extend` tops it up. Card pays a pay-per-call request only when it costs $0.55 or more, so a single lookup is paid from a wallet, from prepaid credit or from the free trial.

- If you send this request with no payment, it returns `402` with `payment.amountUsd`, a `usage` list giving the credits meter and its quantity, the `plan` and a `protocols` block with an x402 and an MPP challenge. Nothing is charged until you pay it. Paying accepts Pubrio's terms and the platform's buyer terms.
- When paid, the same lookup returns `200` with the company record (`company_name`, `industry`, `company_size`, `founded_year`, and `emails`, `phones` and `contacts` lists) and paid $0.01.
- An enrichment of the same company through `POST https://agents.pubrio.com/zcj/677u573lx7kn/companies/lookup/enrich` paid $0.03.
- A lookup for a domain with no record answers `200` with an empty `data` object and paid $0.01, the same as any other lookup:

## Frequently asked questions

### Does Pubrio need an account or API key?

Pay per call needs neither. The signed payment on each 402 is enough, and no upstream key is involved. A bearer credential is needed only for the Free trial, Starter and Scale. You register it at the storefront's [identity page](https://agents.pubrio.com/zcj/677u573lx7kn/auth.md), free and with no email to start.

### How much does one Pubrio company lookup cost?

One lookup is 1 credit, which is $0.01 on pay per call and $0.009 on Scale. A lookup that finds no record is charged the same as one that does. Contact reveals differ: a reveal that returns nothing costs nothing.

### Is Scale cheaper than pay per call?

Per credit, yes: $0.009 against $0.01, with a $495 minimum purchase. Starter charges the pay-per-call rate per credit and takes prepaid credit from $50.

Each plan-funded response carries a `zc-billing` header with `chargedUsd`, the amount debited for that request, and `remainingCreditUsd`, the balance left. When the balance runs out, calls return `usage_exhausted`. Top up with `POST https://agents.pubrio.com/zcj/677u573lx7kn/extend`.
